Hard Times

Friday, January 5th, 2007

I was diagnosed with ADD and depression. At the time, I had insurance through my employment. I lost my job I could not afford my medications or my rent. I had to move out of my place move in with my parents. I couldn’t even get a job; I started to go through withdrawals from the medications. I even had to be hospitalized. I went everywhere to get help but I was turned down. I’m still struggling to this day.

No Insurance

Friday, January 5th, 2007

About two months ago I had a stent installed to open a blocked artery and my cardiologist prescribed four different and very expensive heart medications, which are a must. I am unemployed and currently have no insurance. I rely on help from family but I cannot continue asking my kids to pay for my medicines, as they are not really able to afford it either.

Dealing with Fibro

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

I have fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, and cervical degenerative disc disease. I lost my job 1 1/2 years ago because of my health. Since then I have struggled to make ends meet and had to go off all my meds because I could not afford them. My doctor has been giving me samples of Cymbalta and I have had a lot of positive results with it. My pain has decreased and I have been able to do a lot more with my 14 yr old daughter.

Diabetic

Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

I’m writing in behalf of my nephew who has reached the age where he is no longer covered by his Dad’s insurance. He is currently unemployed and insulin is expensive without coverage. He also takes Effexor for depression. The family has been helping out but he needs assistance until he can get established in a full time job with health insurance benefits. Although I’m afraid he’s not going to be able to work full time. He has a hard time keeping his blood sugar levels regulated. He’s on two different kinds of insulin. The testing strips and syringes are also included in the expense of his condition. I’m looking into other options for them. I came across your website and thought I’d give it a try. Thank you for making this available for those in need.
