Burden

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

The medicine is just to much of a burden wit basic insurance (700). With daily expenses and my two kids not being covered makes me think twice if i have to go to the pharmacy. I tried switching the medicine the doctor prescribed to a cheaper generic version, did not work so im stuck. Thank you so much for this chance.

In the Medicare donut hole

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

I had been able to use various drug discount cards before medicare came out with the new drug program, saving much more money that way. Now my drugs are much more and my husband suggests maybe we should only use our medications every other day to save money.

In the middle

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

I’m in the middle, you know middle child, middle income and middle class. It’s just me and my daughter. I make good money but I still can not afford my medicine every month so in order for me to get my medicine I work 3 nights a week delivering newspapers. It’s wearing me thin but you have to do what ever it takes to get by.

Vicious Cycle

Saturday, January 20th, 2007

I will always wonder if I had the money every month to get my prescriptions if I would get better or at least if I would feel better. The prescriptions that I am supposed to take everyday come with these warnings on them: not miss a day and do not start or stop this medication. Well due to the lack of an dependable income this is impossible to do every month, so my symptoms do not ever go away so I am always not feeling to good. Anyways its a vicious cycle that I would love to end. It’s really hard on your body and your mind to live like this, but I end up in the same situation over and over again. Day by day is the only thing you can do.

Eating at a Buffet & not “over-eating”

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Before I get in line to eat at a Buffet Lunch or Dinner, I always make one trip to survey the food and choose the foods that I should eat & fill my plate with first instead of choosing foods that aren’t healthy when just going up to the line and not thinking about what I’m choosing. I learned this tip in Weight Watchers and it has alway made a difference & I feel good about it after eating.
