Not A Story, Just The Truth

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

I am in need of help with medication. My husband canceled his insurance on me when he got locked up for abuse. I have seizures and high blood pressure and migraines. I have medicine waiting to get picked up and can’t pay almost $400.00 for it, so my heath will get worse and I will go down hill. My seizures are not a pretty sight and I would like some help with my medicine. Thank you.

The Asthmatic That Cannot Sleep

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

I started having asthma 30 years ago, as an adult. As I have been getting older, the stress of aging and the fact of my asthma getting worse along with the huge cost of meds, has freaked me out. When my old job went away in L.A. and I moved here, my wife and I got divorced, the stock market wiped me out and now I have no medical insurance and cannot afford to buy any. Businesses do not hire 62 yr. old salespeople or train them for new jobs, so I stress more. I don’t sleep well or at all and my asthma keeps getting worse.

Brenda’s Story

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

I am a 42-year-old female that has become completely dependent on my loved ones. I can’t work. I have been denied SSI and disability, but I’m trying for the 3rd time now to be accepted or at least get some type of help. My friends and family members are paying out of their pocket for my medications and doctor visits when they can afford to send me to a doctor. I’m diabetic & have high blood pressure. I’m also depressed because I feel like a burden to everyone around me because I can’t do anything financially to help them. I go to a charitable clinic and they help me with some of the medicine. I’m very grateful for that, more than they will ever know!! That is why I am trying to enroll in this medication program, to try to lighten the load on the ones around me that are helping me. I have never been dependent on anyone in my entire life. I raised 2 sons on my own and until you go through something like this, you can’t even imagine how it makes a person feel. I have learned who my true friends are.

Coverage For A Young Diabetic

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

This person was working for the state and had insurance for his medicine, for his diabetes and was able to see a doctor . He was with the company for around 3 yrs. He was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 13 yrs old, type 2. He has to use insulin and see the doctor, but now he can’t because he was laid off this month and now he’s struggling with his doctor’s visits and medicine. We have to pay for his medicine out of pocket and one bottle is about 50 dollars. It may last him 2 weeks at the most. Now we are seeking help so he can see a doctor and get some assistance with his medicine, we are hoping to get some good news.
