In A Panic

Friday, October 27th, 2006

I am 67 years old and found out that Medicare no longer covers my medicine. I went over their limit so I was told that I have to spend out of pocket for my medicine now. Well, I live off Social Security and get $900.00 per month and I need Zocor 40 mg to last until the end of the year. Then the medical will start again. I went to get this medicine at the drug store and it was $436.00for 90 days, which is what I need. I cannot afford it and my other medicine for the rest of the year. I am very scared to not take any of this medicine. I had a 4-way bypass and need this. I hope this will help.

Diabetic With Hypertension

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

I work full-time, but cannot afford to pay for insurance through work. I haven’t been able to pay for my medications in 5 months. I went to the hospital and was told I must take my medicines or I’ll die. A social worker helped me find this program. I’m hoping it will help me save my life.

Sick With Stomach Problems

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

I am sick with all types of stomach problems and my doctor put me on Nexium, to name one pill and I do not have money nor any medical or prescription drug insurance. My doctor gave me a list of several other medicines I need to be taking, but due to my financial situation I cannot afford any of them and cannot afford to go to my doctor very often. I do work part time and try very hard. If there is a way that I can get help I sure would appreciate it.

BiPolar

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

I am a 27-year-old female diagnosed bi polar. I have two children. I am married. My husband’s job does not offer insurance at this point. I had state insurance for a while, but now my husband’s income counts. I have very expensive medicines. One of which there is no generic for. I need my medications to keep my life on track, so I don’t have a nervous meltdown. I can’t afford the prices of all my prescriptions.

We Need Help

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

We need help with our meds because we have no money. My husband takes meds for his sugar and meds for his back and I do too. So I was looking for help of any kind. Thanks a lot.
