Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Monday, October 30th, 2006

I fell down a flight of stairs in February, with 3 sides of my brain suffering concussions, fractured my C2 vertebra, and severely bruised my hips. My Cobra insurance ran out that following month, and my doctor who was treating me for chronic migraine headaches refused to change his prescribing to less expensive medications. Help!

Disabled Students Who Lose Medical Assistance

Monday, October 30th, 2006

My son, age 19, is a high school student in Special Education and has severe asthma, degenerative disc of the lower back and neck, diagnosis with major depression, ADD and osteoporosis. Recently, this year he lost Medicaid, due to his age. His medicine is running out and he fears that he will have an asthma attack or depression will set in so bad that it would prevent him from being happy. I wish someone would let congress know what is going on with the young adults.

Financial Situation Is Very Tight

Monday, October 30th, 2006

I am writing on behalf of my mother. She has no access to Internet. She is a widow with no properties or money, the only income she has is the social security check from her husband. Recently she had the annual check-up and the results came up with severe osteoporosis. She lives with me and we are very concerned, because our financial situation is very tight and the medication is very expensive. Her doctor trying to help us out and asked to write to the free medicine program. We look forward to hearing from you.

I Want To Live

Friday, October 27th, 2006

I have congestive heart failure and am currently taking 8 prescriptions daily. I have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. I want to be around for a long time so I need to continue taking my medication. I can use all the help I can get to save money. I have tried to get help from other places but they have all told me ‘no’. My Coreg alone will cost me $125.00 a month. Thank you very much for your help.
